Feeding Shepherds to Feed Sheep
In John 21:15-17, Jesus admonishes his disciple Peter three times to “feed my sheep.” These words apply to every Christian. But who feeds the shepherds?
Jesus provides the answer, of course. In Matthew 4:4, during His temptation, He quotes Deuteronomy 8:3: “It is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
It is really that simple. It isn’t intuitive or natural, but then few things of the Kingdom are.
Feast on the word. I pray that those reading these thoughts might be lead to the Source. John 6:51-56 is a great place to start nibbling.
